Conference
The Asia Pacific Computer Emergency Response Team (APCERT) was established in 2003 for cooperation between CERTs in Asia Pacific region. To maintain the trust relationship, APCERT has held an annual general meeting (AGM) in conjunction with a conference since 2004. For this coming year of 2012, APCERT conference and AGM will take place in Bali “The Island of Gods, The Paradise Island, or The Island of A Thousand Temples”, Indonesia between March 25th – 28th, 2012. It is hosted by Indonesia Security Incident Response Team on Internet Infrastructure/Coordination Center (Id-SIRTII/CC).
As the countries in Asia Pacific region are focusing on the development and adoption of “Web 2.0″, the next generation of the cyber world including web-based communities, web applications, social networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, and blogs, the theme of the AGM 2012 is “Cleaning the Cyber Environment”. The conference will be separated into three parts:
(1) Workshops, Working Group meetings and closed members discussion
(2) The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of all APCERT members; and
(3) Open conference sessions for all invited parties and members.
This event therefore will be a great opportunity for people who are interested in information security and related issues to share knowledge and experiences among each other within a casual environment. Bali is proud to extend its hospitality to the international community in the field of information technology with the focus on security. We really hope this event will bring valuable knowledge and of course unforgettable memories and experiences to you. See you in Bali…
